Today we celebrate the International Day of Women and Girls in Science! The Day is honored with the aim of promoting the equal participation of women and girls in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields and recognizing their scientific achievements.The occasion has been celebrated around the world since 2016 when the United Nations General Assembly proclaimed the 11th day of February as the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.
