INETEC Academy was established in 2020 with the aim to pass on the know-how in technical and business-related field to our employees and students who take part in summer internship programs or have student jobs with the company.
Lectures at the Academy are recorded and used as part of the onboarding process (introduction to work) of new employees.
Also, for the students attending summer internship programs, the Academy is an additional perk offered by INETEC: in addition to participating in our challenging tasks and top-notch projects, through the Academy, they can get familiar not only with INETEC, but also with various projects and practical tasks they do not have the opportunity to deal with at university. Namely, for most students, summer internships constitute the first contact with their future profession, as well as an opportunity to gain some relevant experience before graduating.
In addition to professional topics, a special focus is placed on the development of soft skills, which are just as important as expertise when working with people.
Lectures of 2020 held by our experts in the field included:
- Presentation of the ITER project, what the project is about, how INETEC participates in it, and what the future of the project will be.
- Overview of the NERO project, how the project started, what stages the project has gone through so far, what challenges they have encountered and what the next steps will be.
- Talk about the experience of working at INETEC and the speaker’s journey with the company so far, while also presenting the projects he has participated in.
- Workshops on the topic of assertiveness and coping with stress, where the students were given the opportunity to practice the skill of standing up for their rights, as well as to try some of the stress coping techniques.
Our goal is to turn the Academy into INETEC’s tradition, as well as to present it to students every summer with new relevant topics.
