We are very proud to announce that we are working on a project "Accelerated TFM Ultrasonic Imaging and Machine Learning Assisted Structural Defects Recognition in Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymers" for the European Space Agency - ESA.
INETEC’s commission with ESA is to create a very fast total-focusing-method (TFM) ultrasonic imaging algorithms adapted to composites with machine-learning (ML) assisted defect recognition in a specific type of aerospace composite materials.
This new innovative inspection technique complemented with fully or semi-automated evaluation of ultrasonic images, providing maximum support to the operator, is going to ultimately replace conventional inspection procedures.
More information coming soon.
The project is funded by the European Space Agency.
