We are happy to share that our new ultrasonic instrument Dolphin P has met the PDI qualification standards at the Electric Power Research Institute in Charlotte (USA)!
Since 1991, the EPRI Performance Demonstration Initiative has successfully qualified numerous personnel, equipment and procedures. Performance demonstration initiative (PDI) is the proof that NDE procedures, equipment, and personnel are capable of achieving a specified level of performance.
From Jan 9th to Feb 3rd 2023 INETEC has successfully conducted personnel, instrument and probe qualification according to the Performance Demonstration Initiative (PDI) program.
Our PDI qualified personnel is now able to use our instrument Dolphin P and probes for ultrasound testing of the nuclear power plant primary circuit according to the requirements of the EPRI procedures PDI-UT-1, PDI-UT-2 & PDI-UT-3. The mentioned EPRI procedures are applicable in all PWR nuclear power plants that are subject to the requirements of the ASME Code (specifically ASME Section XI, Appendix VIII).
