Last week a delegation from the HAMAG BICRO agency visited INETEC to assess the SMART UTX project progression, which was a key step in the completion of the project. In 2018, INETEC started the SMART UTX Project - Smart modular system for ultrasound diagnostics in extreme conditions in order to address a present growing need for more autonomous and more resilient ultrasound inspection systems in power generation, oil and gas, processing and transport industries.
The aim of the project was to develop an intelligent ultrasound diagnostic system for industrial applications in extreme working conditions based on latest advances in materials science, electronics, and computing. This project is a joint effort of INETEC – Institute for Nuclear Technology Ltd. Zagreb and University of Zagreb, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing. The project is co-funded by European Union’s European Regional Development Fund under the Operational Programme Competitiveness and Cohesion 2014-2020.
