ARCHER is designed to provide eddy current and ultrasound examinations of reactor pressure vessel head penetrations by using various test modules. It also performs automated surface repairs of the J-groove weld and the tubes' outside surface below the weld. ARCHER can operate on both PWR and VVER types of nuclear power plants.
