OLM

OLM is an underwater manipulator designed for the visual inspection of the IRWST (in-containment refueling water storage tank).

Key Features

  • 4 OLM configurations allow it to test under or above water depending on the water level in IRWST
  • Modular construction allows quick and easy configuration changes
  • OLM consists of the following parts:
    • 6 thrusters for movement
    • 2 surveillance cameras that allow the operator to navigate in space
    • LED lighting - visual inspection cameras that provide insight into the state of the IRWST and its components
    • A gripper used to remove any debris from the IRWST
    • A power cord that floats and thus allows unimpeded movement through the water
