Nondestructive testing or NDT is a technique used to assess component condition without causing damage. NDT is used in the nuclear, marine, aerospace, automotive, chemical industry, oil & gas... Nondestructive testing plays a vital part in ensuring nuclear power plant safety. 

The goal of NDT is to make sure that components are safe to use by evaluating material degradation. Due to irradiation and stress, components might be brittle, corroded or deformed. NDT methods such as eddy current and ultrasonic testing help us determine the state of NPP components.
