Presentation at the International Conference on Materials in Šibenik, Croatia

Published: 19.10.2021.
Our colleague held presentation “INETEC’s involvement in the largest experimental fusion reactor ITER” last week at the International Conference on Materials in Šibenik, Croatia.
ITER is the experimental step between today's fusion machines, focused on plasma physics studies, and tomorrow's fusion power plants.
ITER will be twice as large as the largest tokamak fusion experiment currently operating (JET in the UK), with ten times the plasma volume. This unique experimental machine has been designed to produce 500 MW of fusion power (Q≥10) from 50 MW of heating input power, confine a deuterium-tritium plasma in which alpha-particle heating dominates and demonstrate the integrated operation of technologies for a fusion power plant, as well as the safety characteristics of a fusion device.

30 Years of technological excellence

We have gained international acclaim for developing technologies for nuclear power plant examination and repair, inspection and repair services, as well as various engineering studies that we conduct as our regular scope of activities.
